Individual, Corporate & GRoups
Volunteering at the farm is a hands-on way to connect with the land, support local agriculture, and give back to the community. Whether you’re an individual looking to get your hands dirty, a group seeking a shared experience, or a company planning a meaningful team-building day, we offer volunteer opportunities that are engaging, impactful, and rewarding.
Volunteers work alongside our farmers and educators on seasonal projects that may include planting, harvesting, garden maintenance, animal care support, and farm improvement projects. Each experience is designed to foster teamwork, learning, and a deeper appreciation for where our food comes from.
We welcome:
- Individuals looking to volunteer independently
- Groups such as schools, clubs, scouts, faith-based organizations, and community groups
- Corporate teams interested in structured volunteer days that combine service, connection, and team building
Volunteer opportunities are available for ages 13 and up. Volunteers ages 13–15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Job Summary
The Educator plays a vital role in assisting the Educational Director with the implementation of the Healthy Schools Program. They will work closely with children ages 5-18 to deliver hands-on, outdoor, farm-based education. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and ready to engage with children in a fun and educational farm setting. Additionally, the educator will have the ability to help build lesson plans and lead lessons independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Healthy Schools Support:
- Assist with the preparation for lessons, setup and clean-up of farm field trips and classroom visits.
- Work alongside the Educational Director to help deliver environmental education lessons in schools.
- Lead lessons both on the farm and in the classroom, working directly with students in a group setting.
- Assist in building lesson plans, contributing ideas for activities, and helping ensure lessons align with state and national standards.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records, such as attendance sheets and incident reports.
- Support the training of new educators on farm-related educational activities and safety protocols.
General Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Educational Director, other educators, and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Provide occasional, limited administrative support to the Executive Director as needed, which may include light supervision of children in a safe and appropriate setting
- Maintain a clean and organized space at the farm and during farm visits, ensuring equipment and materials are well-kept and ready for use.
- Participate in general cleanup of common areas, including the farm, classroom spaces, and event areas.
Additional Information:
- Farm safety and first aid training will be provided.
- Must be comfortable with the outdoors and working in all weather conditions.
Farm Equipment & Operations Technician

Farm Equipment & Operations Technician
Position: Farm Equipment & Operations Technician
Location: Rockland Community Farm Network
Employment Type: Full-Time (Seasonal or Year-Round)
Position Summary
The Farm Equipment & Operations Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and preparing all farm equipment, infrastructure, and facilities to ensure the farm operates safely and efficiently. This position is heavily focused on preventative maintenance, equipment organization, and preparing the farm for the upcoming growing season while also supporting daily farming operations as needed.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, highly organized, takes pride in their work, and enjoys solving problems before they become larger issues.
Key Responsibilities:
-Equipment Maintenance & Repair
-Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on tractors, UTVs, mowers, tillers, implements, irrigation systems, trailers, and small engine equipment.
-Diagnose mechanical issues and complete basic repairs or coordinate outside service when necessary.
-Maintain maintenance logs and service schedules for all equipment.
-Clean, lubricate, and properly store equipment after use.
-Ensure all equipment meets safety standards before operation.
-Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, fluids, and replacement components.
Farm Infrastructure:
-Repair and maintain fencing, gates, animal enclosures, barns, sheds, and greenhouses.
-Assist with irrigation installation, repairs, and winterization.
-Maintain walkways, drainage systems, and storage areas.
-Support construction and improvement projects throughout the property.
-Seasonal Farm Preparation
-Prepare fields for planting through equipment setup, cultivation, and soil preparation.
-Assist with installation and removal of mulch, landscape fabric, irrigation lines, row covers, and trellising.
-Winterize equipment and farm infrastructure at season's end.
-Prepare all machinery and implements for spring operations.
-Organize equipment and supplies to improve efficiency for the upcoming season.
Farm Operations:
-Assist with planting, harvesting, and general farm work when needed.
-Support deliveries, material handling, and movement of equipment around the farm.
-Operate tractors and other machinery safely and efficiently.
-Assist with snow removal and seasonal property maintenance as needed.
-Safety & Organization
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop.
-Follow all farm safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
-Report maintenance needs before they become major repairs.
-Work collaboratively with the Farm Manager and operations team to prioritize projects.
Qualifications:
-Experience operating tractors and farm equipment preferred.
-Mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining small engines, diesel equipment, trailers, or agricultural machinery.
-Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently.
-Comfortable using power tools and performing general construction and maintenance tasks.
-Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
-Valid driver's license required.
-Welding, fabrication, electrical, plumbing, or hydraulic experience is a plus.

Job Summary
**Farm Market Support Team Member (Part-Time)**
Rockland Community Farm Network is looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking team member to help support our Farm Market operations this season!
**Position Details:**
* Part-time position
* Must be available Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and mandatory Saturdays during Market hours
* Weekend availability is required
**Responsibilities Include:**
* Assisting customers in the Farm Market
* Restocking produce and products
* Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming space
* Supporting market setup and breakdown
* Assisting with light farm and operational tasks as needed
* Providing excellent customer service and creating a positive community atmosphere
**Qualifications:**
* Friendly, outgoing, and dependable
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to lift and carry products, plants, and market supplies
* Valid driver’s license required
* Experience using Square POS system is a plus
* Interest in farming, local food, and community engagement is encouraged!

Communications & Digital Systems Coordinator
Position: Communications & Digital Systems Coordinator
Location: Remote (Work from Home)
Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week
Reports To: Executive Director
Position Summary
The Rockland Community Farm Network is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Communications & Digital Systems Coordinator to help tell our story and ensure our digital presence reflects the heart of our organization.
Working closely with the Executive Director and Community Director, you will help maintain our website, social media platforms, and digital communication systems while ensuring every message aligns with our mission of education, agriculture, community, and environmental stewardship. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical side of managing digital systems and the creative process of storytelling.
This is a remote position with approximately 10 hours of work each week. Team members will meet weekly to review priorities, upcoming events, and communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities
-Social Media & Communications
-Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across Facebook, Instagram,LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
-Capture and share the stories of our farm, educational programs, volunteers, and community partnerships.
-Ensure all communications reflect the organization's voice, mission, and values.
-Assist with email newsletters, event promotions, fundraising campaigns, and community announcements.
-Monitor engagement and respond to messages or comments as directed.
Website & Digital Systems
-Maintain and update the organization's website using Duda.
-Ensure event information, registrations, news, and program pages remain current.
-Support online systems including Give Lively, Stripe, Square, and other digital platforms.
-Assist with website improvements, landing pages, forms, and online content updates.
-Help maintain organized digital files, branding assets, and communication templates.
Marketing & Brand Management
-Maintain consistent branding across all digital platforms.
-Collaborate with staff to develop marketing materials for educational programs, farm events, fundraisers, and community initiatives.
-Assist with photography, graphics, and short-form video content.
-Track basic social media and website analytics to help improve engagement and outreach.
Qualifications
-Experience managing social media platforms for a business or nonprofit.
-Experience with website management (Duda experience is a plus).
-Familiarity with Canva or similar design software.
-Experience using digital platforms such as Give Lively, Stripe, Square, or similar systems is preferred.
-Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
-Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
-Comfortable working independently while collaborating virtually with a team.
