Where Fields Meet the Future
RCFN’s education programs align with New York State Learning Standards and STEM frameworks, turning our working farms into outdoor classrooms where students gain hands-on science, agriculture, and life skills that build healthier communities.
School Groups
Our Agricultural Education Program offers engaging, hands-on learning experiences for K–12 students through classroom visits and/or on-site farm field trips. Designed to spark curiosity and deepen understanding of where our food comes from, the program aligns with New York State Next Generation Science Standards while bringing agriculture to life. During visits, students explore topics such as plant life cycles, soil science, animal care, and sustainable farming through interactive presentations and activities. Field trips to our farm give students the chance to see agriculture in action—feeding animals, exploring crops, and learning directly from farmers. This program fosters a deeper appreciation for agriculture and inspires future generations to stay connected to the land and the food it provides.
